Is Noah Obsessive Compulsive?

Or... just determined!
The other day at my mom's home I realized I hadn't seen or heard from Noah for a few minutes. This is what I found:

Nothing better than playing with Grandpa!

Day Trip

Last week Ron had Friday off so we decided to take a day trip to the Tonto Natural Bridge and go for a family hike. When we left Mesa around 1pm it was a blistering 105 degrees. YUCK! When we got to the Park (about an hour's drive) it was a beautiful, breezy 67 degrees!
At the start of our hike
we encountered a VERY strange site...
Can you see what Mason is looking at on the tree?...
YEP! It's a BAT! Crazy huh? And kinda cute!
The hike is only about 1/2 mile but part of the hike is pretty steep. Mason actually did pretty good. Although, I did have to carry him part of the way just because I'm paranoid and didn't want him sliding off the mountain.
Mason really enjoyed climbing and exploring on the slippery rocks. Noah didn't mind getting his feet wet either.
Overall, we had a very fun day!

Swiming Lessons

I've been working really hard with Mason for the past month teaching him how to swim.
The best part, (which you can't really see in the video) is his face. When he comes up for air or to float, he has the BIGGEST smile on his face. He's so proud of himself and rightly so. I love it!

He still has a long way to go, right now his swiming is more like treading water. But it's fun for me to work with him and watch him improve.
