Happy Halloween 2012

I LOVE this Holiday! We had our Trunk or Treat last night at the church parking lot. Our boys were so excited. I can't believe I actually got us to coodinate costumes again this year (I'm such a nerd!). Mason actually wanted to be a cowboy and Noah wanted to be a horse. So of course I made Callie an Indian princess. (Thanks Rinn for the idea!)

Awww isn't he a good looking cowboy?
We enjoyed an evening filled with music, food, games, a costume parade and Trunk or Treating!

My friend Vangie came with Ethan and our wonderful Brianna!
And of course we finished the night off with some table dancing from Callie!!! :) Crazy girl!
I thought it would be fun to get the kids pictures taken in their costumes at a studio for super cheap. I stayed up way late the night before finishing Callie's costume, planned my whole morning perfectly so we would be early to the apointment, I brought everything necessary, even made arrangements for my sitter to meet us at the studio because I had to go to work right after. My morning went smooth, we were early and Callie even let put her entre outfit on, PLUS she kept it on (necklace, bracelet, feather headband and ALL)!!!! I was shocked. I was thinking to myself "Wow! This might actually work!" Mason and Noah cooperated beautifully! Callie on the other hand not so much! She screamed everytime we walked into the photo room. We didn't even get one picture of her at ALL! Oh well! She still looked super cute at the Trunk or Treat!

Happy Birthday Noah!

My little No-No turned 4 years old last week! Noah is such a sweetie. He has the most contagious smile, his beautiful eyes light up and you can't help but smile back at him. Noah still loves Dinosaurs, and lately he is obsessed with these toys called Bey Blades, always asking me to bey blade with him or battle. He is an excellent big brother (and little brother for that matter!) He is a very complacent brother, always going along with Mason's plans or ideas.

Noah (in my opinion) prefers his Momma, which of course I love about him. He has started preschool this year and LOVES it! Everyday he asks if he is going to school today! We had October Break a couple weeks ago and I will admit that was the LONGEST week for me! Everyday he and Mason kept asking if they were going back to school yet!
Noah also started playing soccer this year. He is very focused about the game but not too ambitious or aggressive. He is content to just hang back and watch. I'm sure competitiveness will kick in later for him. He has scored a couple goals though, mostly because of his "strategy". He has been in the right place at the right time to kick it in! :) The 3-4 year old games are very fun to watch because most of the kids out there really don't know what to do and ALL their parents (me included) are yelling at them "Run! Run!" or "Get the ball! Kick it in!" or my favorite "The OTHER way! You are going the wrong way!" I think I'm the worst offender at excited yelling during the games! "Run Noah! Run!" I guess I'm more competitive than I thought I was.
My friend Lindsey ended up having us over last weekend and we did a little mini party for him at her home! She really is the best friend anyone could ask for! They decorated and everything, birthday banner, some homemade signs by Colter and a Lightning Mcqueen cake. When we walked into their home Noah started jumping up and down uncontrollably for like 2 solid mins! I wish I had that on tape!

Happy Birthday Mason!

My sweet Mason turned 6 last week. He is such a fun kid and so full of life! I love how generous and kind he is to others. Especially his siblings when he isn't ordering them around he is the BEST big brother ever. Always looking out for Callie and Noah, he takes such good care of us. He is friends with everyone, there isn't a shy bone in his body. He is still very independent and strong willed which makes parenting him a little tricky! One thing I have noticed since school has started, he is a lot more affectionate. He will give me 3-4 kisses and hugs ANYTIME we are going to be separated. If his bus is waiting for him just in front of our home, if I'm going to work, or even if I'm just going to run errands. It's really sweet! I know it won't last forever so I am just enjoying everytime he runs up to me and says "Wait mom! I want to give you a kiss!"
We did an all boy birthday party at Amazing Jakes. This is the first official birthday party I've done for any of my kids. He had a blast! All of his friends kept fighting for his attention, too cute. He told me his favorite part was Lazer tag. I'm glad we went to all this effort, I think it made his birthday special. (I'm also glad I haven't done big birthday parties before now, they are a LOT of work!) :)

Hayden, Mason and Colter
The 3 musketeers reunited! These boys have been friends since birth, I used to trade babysitting with their moms. Time sure does fly!!

The highlight of MY evening was staying late after the party ended, with just Mason and Noah playing and hanging out. Once all the boys parents had come and picked them up I could relax a little and enjoy time with the Birthday boy.
Most of the evening Noah refused to get on ANY of the rides. But he really did enjoy playing air hockey and basketball! I love this action shot with his foot in the air!!!

Maryann and Nate stopped by later to wish Mason a Happy Birthday, I even talked Maryann into riding a few rides with me! (Ok. Maybe it was her idea!) Maryann also got Noah to ride the tea cups with us! No one says NO to Maryann! :)
Happy Birthday Mason! I hope you had a wonderful and memorable Birthday! We love you and know that our family would NOT be the same with out you!
