New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve we took Grandpa Huber's quads out to the dessert to ride, roast marshmellows, have lunch and do some shooting. It was a little cold and even rained a little, but that didn't stop us from having fun!!!!

Poor Noah. I made him wear that ridiculous spiderman mask because he has had a bad winter rash on his face this week.

Allie, Noah, and Leah. These adorable kiddos sang Jingle Bells the whole ride on the back of the quad. Too cute!

The past couple years I have taken my niece Harley out for a ride on the quads and worked with her on driving it. This year we had an interesting experience. I drove us down to a dry wash area and we switched places. At some point during her ride we decide to head back. I instructed her to turn around and we started looking for the "turn off " that we took to get there. We could't find it so we turn around to look again, same results. At this point we have gone back and forth looking for this particular turnoff (which to be honest I couldn't really remember what it looked like). I switch Harley places and took the "wheel" while reassuring Harley we are NOT lost and I am confident we are very close. It's hard to decribe my feelings at this point. As I was driving farther and farther at each turn I really did feel calm and comforted BUT doubt and fear did seem to lurk my mind. Maybe it's because I watched one too many TV's shows where people get lost, or stranded and they have to survive on the land all alone with out supplies. I blame Ron for this, he thoroughly enjoys watching shows like "I shouldn't be Alive" or "Man, Woman WILD" All of these shows have a similar theme people are stranded in some remote area and have to find their way out using natural resources and whatever supplies they have on them. At this point on our quad ride my mind is racing with thoughts of our current supply situation. No water, no weapons, I think there was a small blanket on the back of the quad, we had NOTHING. As silly as it sounds I start scanning the dessert land in front of us contemplating where we could "camp" if needed. All of these rather ridiculous thoughts are racing through my mind as I am driving the quad back and forth looking for our turnoff. At one point I even stop the quad and hike up to the top of a hill to see if I can get a better look at where the main road is. All the while I'm reassuring Harley "It's going to be ok, I'm not worried" At the top of the hill Harley nervously yells for me from the quad to not go too far. I climb back down not really encouraged and decide that Harley and I need to pray. I manage a prayer and am overwhelmed with a comforting feeling. I rev up the quad and am determined we will get out. It's crazy how at this point my hands knew exactly where to guide us and almost immediately our prayer was answered. We found the turnoff and made it back to camp. I uttered a small prayer of gratitude as our family came into site.

Merry Christmas!

Mason was so cute on Christmas Eve, he was very excited for Christmas to come. As he was getting ready for bed he commented "I'm so excited! I just can't sleep!" About 5 mins later he and Noah were both out cold for the rest of the night. Our kids didn't wake up until 7:30am Christmas morning! I was worried the kids might be disappointed with Christmas or with their gfts this year. They just had birthdays in October and I really feel like my kids don't need anything thing more. I would ask them what they wanted for Christmas and both Mason and Noah would never really give me an answer. They didn't know. Christmas this year was pretty simple and I liked that. My kids all seem very content and happy with their gifts.

Mason ended up getting 3 footballs! Haha! Grandpa Faler, Mom and Dad and Santa all gave him one!

Grandma and Grandpa Faler stopped by with their gifts!
They gave Mason and Noah Tonka Trucks in honor of Ron's childhood Tonka Truck history. When Ron was younger his mother locked him and his brother Mike in their bedroom for being naughty. So what did they do? They rammed their large Tonka Truck through the bedroom door and crawled out the hole. Oh boy! Is that what I'm in for with 2 boys?!?! Luckily, they don't make children's toys like they used to. These Tonka Trucks aren't metal.

Next stop, Grandma and Grandpa Hubers! The boys got remote control cars from them. A BIG hit!

Cousin Emilie was the master Pogo sticker!!! This girl has some serious Pogo hopping skills!

 Whee!!!!

This is the FIRST time I have been able to get her hair in little pigtails! They didn't last long but they sure were awfully cute!
Lindsey and I of course have had our "usual" twin outfits! Every year Lindsey and I just happen to have outfits that match!
2012 Christmas matching leopard jammies!
Christmas 2011
Aren't we cute?!?!

Grandma Huber held a Birthday Party for Jesus. We had cupcakes, sang and everything! Then we all tried to make a Birthday "promise" to Jesus about something we would do all year long for him. Mason promised he would try to Choose the Right all year, and Noah promised he would try to keep him room clean all year round.

Poor Lindsey. Callie kept asking her to put these earings on over and over again! Of course Lindsey was happy to accomidate!

Christmas Eve

Twas the night before Christmas... As usual we had our Faler Family Christmas Eve Party at my moms house. Sadly, my sister's kids were sick, so Corinne and her Family couldn't make it. We did our usual dinner, socializing, an incomplete family photoshoot (missing the Ward Family), a "family tallent" program and some gifts. It was a fun filled evening with my family. (Afterwards, we headed over to the Huber's for a little while to hang too! When we party it's NON-STOP!)

My mom ordering us around. :)

Mason, Noah and Callie sang "Must be Santa" as our Family tallent. I was SHOCKED that Callie stood upthere the whole time and even sang a few words! I LOVE that my children love music. I think that is one of the few things they inherited from me.

My mom did a slideshow presentation of Christ while we all read "The Living Christ"
My adorable nephew Carson just loved being a present under the tree!

McCormick Train Park

Last year we visited the Train Park at Christmas time with some friends so we figured why not make it a tradition? Well.. not sure if this tradtion will happen next year. It was fun and we got to hang out with a lot of friends from the ward but... it was CRAZY busy! I couldn't believe it! We had to wait in line for like an hour to ride the train and we didn't have any time after to go see santa, thankfully my children forgot that Santa was there. Last year there was no line and no one there because it had been raining all day. So I was shell shocked to see so many people there this year.

Mason had a little too much fun on the carousel! He takes his riding very seriously! :)

We all met out in the parking lot after and had hot chocolate. Perfect end to a crazy night!

Holiday Party week!

I'm finally getting around to finishing up my posts for December! YAY!
This week was kind of crazy, scheduled with 3 Christmas parties 3 days in a row. My family held their annual all adult Christmas party, the night was filled with food, fun, games and presents! My mom went all out with decor and food.

My office party was the following night. We met at Dr. Nia's home to eat and socialize.

Lastly, Ron's work party was Saturday night held at the Gainey Ranch resort. Yummy appetizer's, raffles prizes, dancing and some fun photo-booths. The theme was Mascarade Magic, we didn't mask up but we did dress up for our "photo-shoots". I still can't believe I got Ron to do this, He usually fights me on pictures.
Aren't we cute?!?! I just LOVE this man.
