City of Mesa Swim Finals

City of Mesa Finals Swim Meet today. Mason crushed ALL of his PR times. He swam Backstroke in the Medley relay with a split time of 29.33 (1.5 seconds faster)

200 Freestyle 2:06.3 (2 seconds faster)

500 Freestyle 5:29.41 (13 seconds faster!!)

100 Freestyle relay 56.9 (2 seconds faster)

I don’t so much care about his actual times but I’m so happy he has improved. I LOVE that he has made so many new friends. This whole team seems to love and support each other in so many ways. MHS Swim team is filled with a bunch of really good kids.

State swim meet here we come! #goMHS #goMason!!

Breanna Turley (a new swim friend) was his lap counter for the 500 freestyle race. I consider her his good luck charm. He did really good and I’m so proud of his PR. He shaved off 13 seconds and ALMOST qualified for state with this race. #proudmomma

After the 500 freestyle race Mason asked me if I saw him smile at me DURING his race. He said he could see me walking up to the pool for a picture and he wanted to see if I got it on camera. 🤣 funny kid. I love that he smiled at me and I love that he loves swimming. #mylittlefish

Mom Life!

What a night!!

4pm Swim meet, then straight to a mother-daughter growth and development night (aka puberty haha) with my Callie girl. And raced over to Mason's first MHS Choir concert. Mason and his swim hair all dressed up in a tux. Haha #momlife #swimhairdontcare #ohmason🤦🏼‍♀️ #ilovemylife #goMesa #carryon

Noah is 13

It's official! I have 2 teenagers in my home now! Noah is really enjoying Franklin Jr. High. He has made a lot of new friends and has become quite social. He joined Mesa water polo club team and I think he is surprised at how much he enjoys it. Mason and Noah are opposites in many ways so it's nice to see they have some similarities and interests that overlap like water polo.

Noah is Obedient. Kind. Observant. Witty. Friendly. Introverted. Polite. Nice. Loving Big Brother. Hard working. Sweet. Smart. Dedicated.

Starting in August my work hours increase drastically. Noah has willingly picked the girls up from the bus stop or taken them to piano many times to help out while I'm at work. (Usually he rides 2 electric scooters to the bus to pick them up. I'm super impressed with the coordination that must take haha. Once at the bus stop Callie rides one scooter home and April hops on to ride with Noah.) I never have to worry about his grades or school work. He is dedicated and makes sure he gets things done.

Music Marathon

Music Marathon today. Callie was Dorothy from Wizard of Oz. April was Mary in "Mary had a Little Lamb"

Both girls did an amazing job. This was Aprils first piano concert she was adorable. I'm so very proud of them both.

Mason is 15

I can't believe he is 15 and will be driving soon. We celebrated his birthday with an escape room full of teenagers. I was lucky enough to be in the control room with the workers and watch the whole thing on screen. Mason picked a scary room that was really difficult. They did not escape but they sure had fun trying and were very entertaining to watch.

This kid is nonstop energy. He is always on the go and planning the next friend event or swim activity. He is the Teacher's Quorum president at church and I think he enjoys being in charge and helping. I KNOW he enjoys helping others, sometimes to an annoying extent like when I'm waiting to take him home after water polo practice and he is helping put ALL the equipment away. Haha
Mason is Smart. Crazy. Funny. Athletic. Energetic. Hilarious. Jokester. Brave. Tough. Confident. Thrill seeker. and Musical. I love everything about him and am so proud to claim his as mine.

There are days where I miss this little crazy bundle of joy. But I remind myself I still have him. Just not in the pint size anymore. He is officially taller than me. He's growing up too fast.
