Noah’s waterpolo Tournament

Got to go to Noah’s waterpolo tournament in California this weekend. We had a lot of fun carpooling with Lindsey and her son Colter. Between games we snuck away to Sea World, and had a tiny bit of time on the beach. We survived a bum stabbing in the hotel neighborhood, endless FRIENDS watching, and I even got Colter to smile for a couple pics😁. I love getting to spend some one on one time with my kids. Noah played “up” on the 18U team for this tournament. This meant he didn’t get as much playtime as we wanted but I really do love watching him play.

Sea World with Grandma

I took the kids (and my mom) to Sea World last week and it was so much fun. Perfect little vacation to break up the long winter break. Ron and Mason were not able to come but my mom got to join us. We had an amazing time and quite a few adventures including losing a cell phone on the Manta rollercoaster. Then retrieving the phone miraculously unscratched behind the fence. Losing a glove and finding it a day later. Petting and playing with a Beluga whale. Riding rides over and over and over again. April was so excited to take Noah and Grandma on all her favorite rides. I’m so grateful for my fun family and thankful my mom got to join us. As I get older I find myself panicking that these moments are slipping away from me. Memories made with my kids and adventures together just won’t be the same when they are all grown up. so I’m grateful for any chance I get to make memories and have some family time (next time hopefully the whole family can join us).

April was so cute. She made the bed every morning and gently placed her pink lama. (She is her father's daughter) I just love her.

We miraculously recovered Callie's cell phone that took flight during a Manta rollercoaster ride. I still can't believe it! Unscratched. Thank goodness for life 360 and for April's little arms reaching the phone.

I'm so glad my mom got to join us on this adventure. She was so much fun and it's always great to go with someone who loves marine life too! Grandma spoiled us with treats at Sea World, GF treats from a bakery in California and just being super fun on the rollercoasters and exploring. The highlight of the trip was definitely our experience with the Beluga whales. We got to go in where they train the whales and work with them. I got to be photographer and I loved everything I saw. Allua was the name of our whale. She was very sweet.

Back to School

3rd Grade - 7th Grade - 9th Grade - 11th Grade
This is the first year April is at school all by her self. That's just so sad to me. Callie started Jr High and Noah's first year at Mesa High!

Callie's good friend Savanna is on the same bus stop. I'm so glad they have each other! :)

Mesa Water Polo Summer Rec League

Mesa Manta Rays Water Polo finished the season with 2nd place in the City of Mesa. I’m so proud of Noah he has been working really hard this summer. He is taking Spanish II online school, swimming for Mesa Aquatics Club, swimming @ MHS Rec swim team, and played Rec water polo (Mesa Manta Rays). He set his alarm every morning around 5:30am got himself up and ready for swim. I think he has really enjoyed his water time tracking his swim times and playing polo/swim with some of his good friends. Mason even got to referee a few of Noah’s games this season. That was really fun for me to witness. Especially when Noah would voice his annoyance at Mason ignoring some obvious calls… Mason’s response “Noah. I play with you. I know you were drawing that foul” 🤣 The club swim schedule did not offer very many morning workouts (a little frustrating 🙄) and Noah asked if he could join the MHS rec team which why he was in 2 different swim teams). I’m so glad we did the Rec swim schedule was every morning at 6am. He got more swim time and got to swim with his friends. Win. Win. We didn’t let him compete in the divisional swim meet this year because he was in MAC (that gives him a small advantage) but it’s been really fun to watch him improve his swim times and work so hard. We are pumped and excited for him to join Mason @ MHS swim team. Gooooooo Mesa!

Noah came up with the idea for all the water polo players to paint their toe nails before the championship game. LOL That kid. Not sure where he comes up with this stuff.
