April is 3

I can't believe my baby is 3! So crazy! She is still perfect in every way. Super happy 98% of the time. Very sweet and in tune with others emotions. If you are sad or upset she quickly picks up on that and asks "You ok Mom?"
I love this little princess. She's as girly as can be and an absolute angel. She loves singing, dancing and dressing up. The perfect little sleeper. She is still in her crib. I don't get it. I have NEVER had a child stay in the crib this long (more than 2 times as long as Mason crazy kid was climbing in and out at 16 months old) I am absolutely enjoying every minute of it. Every night it takes about 2 mins to put her down. We lay her in her bed, sing a song of her choice and say "Good night April!" Her song choices range from "Twinkle Twinkle little Star" or "ABC's" or "The Butterfly Song" (a primary song called My Heavenly Father Loves Me) At night sometimes Ron would tell her "Goodnight Princess" and April would respond "Goodnight Princess" It was so adorable. She doesn't do that now. She promptly responds with "Goodnight Mommy or Daddy. I love you soooo much."

Family Snow Trip

We decided to take a spontaneous trip to the snow this weekend. I'm really glad we did. Our kids have been begging for a snow trip all winter. (This winter has pretty lame not much snow in AZ this year) When we first got to Flagstaff I was a little nervous, there was absolutely NO snow anywhere. We stayed at the Drury Inn in Flagstaff, AZ and woke up to heavy snowfall the next morning. The boys of course didn't want to ever leave the snow. My poor kids were hardly equipped for snow fun (we don't have very much "snow gear") but that did not stop Mason and Noah. Callie liked it for about 20 mins. then she was done. April was NOT a fan. She kept saying "It's cold. and Let's go inside!" I love little family trips like this, lots of together time and fun.

A huge milestone in my marriage was reached on this trip. On the drive home Ron stopped the jeep and asked if I wanted to get a pic with him. I was over the moon excited. This is HUGE! I love pictures. They say a lot about an experience and help you remember phases in life. Ron isn't always the biggest fan of taking them so I'm just happy he suggested it this time (hence the flip flops since I was "car drive comfy"). He's such a good looking guy! Why wouldn't I want pictures with him?! :)
Mason of course was our photographer. I really should start paying him. He does a pretty good job!

Callie is 7

I can’t believe this little firecracker is 7. She’s strong (physically and mentally), kind, smart, determined, sensitive and feisty. I pity the fool who crosses her or attempts to hurt her, this girl can hold her own! Her love for music is contagious. Callie loves all things girlie but also enjoys catching bugs/lizards and climbing trees with her brothers. She has lots of friends both boys and girls (the attention she gets from boys makes me a little nervous)

This year her birthday party was held it at Precision Gymnastics. I think she enjoyed it, all her friends seemed to have a lot of fun.

Mason "In the Tree"

I was helping set up for the Pinewood Derby with all my kids at the church except Mason. He needed to catch up on Battle of Books reading. I came home to pick him up for the Derby and found this in my front room:
This kid cracks me up. He was reading in the tree in the backyard. I didn't get a pic but my kids all love this tree. Ron is always threatening to cut it down (poor guy is always racking up leaves and trimming) but I will NEVER allow that. We love this tree too much.

Noah's Pinewood Derby

Noah did great and had lots of fun at his pinewood derby this year. I didn't get a picture of Ron and Noah! Dang it! Poor Ron's been working so much I'm amazed he was able to finish Noah's car.
#15 the Black bandit! took 3rd place out of 27 cars! The race winners were all within .001 of a second! He probably would have done better but in the finals one of the race "helpers" accidentally put his car on backwards. I'm not telling Noah that though! LOL

Callie pierced her ears!

Callie has been begging me for months if she could get her ears pierced. I decided a while ago that I would let her if she memorized all 13 Articles of Faith first. She worked really hard and did! (Thanks to her amazing primary teacher!)
So proud of all my kids for memorizing the article of faith.

And of course her best friend Sydney had to go too! And since Callie got her best friend there I thought mine should come too! Nessa's baby Arlee got her ears pierced too!
