"That's Disgusting!"

Yes, this is edible. And Yes it actually tastes really good. I've been trying to figure out how to get more raw fruits and veggies in my diet and this has helped. I've had this yummy smoothy everyday this week.

Ingredients:

1/2 c. strawberries (or more)

1 banana

1/4 c. milk

1 c. of raw baby spinach

1 c. crushed ice

1 T. sugar (optional - SERIOUSLY I forget to put sugar in half the time and it still tastes great!)

According to Mason "That's disgusting!" I told him it's really yummy and he should try it. He replies, "No, that's DISGUSTING for Mason!"

  1. Thanks for that tip! Colter & I have this smoothie every morning now. Jeff is the one who won't touch it.

  2. That looks like my breakfast! Try adding avacado instead of banana, it makes it really creamy. OR whole fat coconut milk instead of water. if you put in a tablespoon of almond butter it gives you protein and keeps you fuller longer, and flax seeds well, help you to go potty... just fyi! miss you!

  3. I've been doing something like this for years adding spinach to drinks. And yes, we do add almond butter, avocado, flaxseeds and even protein powder. Colter, when I used to sit him, would help make them and drink them. Add blueberries and less spinach and it will disguise the green. Or, for a very pretty green, delete the strawberries, add fresh oranges and frozen pineapple along with the banana and spinach and avocado.

  4. I do just about the same thing, but I buy the frozen fruit at sams club, then add whatever fruit I have on hand and some spinach and apple juice. Hallie saw me do it one time and thought it was gross, but has been fine with it since. You are a way better example of healthy than me however!!!
