Saying Good-Bye

One of my very best friends has moved away. Angela and I have known each other for only a short 6 years but it feels like a lifetime. She's one of those people that makes you want to do better. I love her never-ending knowledge of EVERYTHING! This girls is sooooooo smart. We both have a passion for Dental Hygiene (I know, we are nerds!). Ever since I met her at school my life has changed for the better. She's definately one of the most hardworking, smartest, most genuine, and beautiful women I know.
I LOVE this tender moment captured! Mason sure loves Angela and Jay.
We had them over for one last dinner and Family Night, before she left to travel across the country to her new home. I know we'll be friends forever but I will miss her dearly.
I love you Ange!
I LOVE this girl!
Poor Jay! Mason had Jay read to him. Jay was a good sport though and even did excellent character voice immpressions! (I wish I would've gotten a video clip!)
Say Cheese!
Mason and Angela working on a puzzle!
(Ron's not in any of the pics. because he was doing the dishes! Thanks Ronnie!)

These are some old pics I found of Angela and I. Buddy loved playing with his friends Hagrid and Cassie (RIP).
This is when it was too hot outside to run so we walked around in the mall!
I can't believe I am putting "fat pics" of me up!

Angela and I really enjoy running. We would run as much as possible. During school we even took flashcards on our run to study (yes, I know BIG nerds!).
This pic is from one of our runs at our favorite spot at the ASU Research Park. (No one was around to take the pic.) ha! ha! Where's the tripod when you need it! :)

Is Noah Obsessive Compulsive?

Or... just determined!
The other day at my mom's home I realized I hadn't seen or heard from Noah for a few minutes. This is what I found:

Nothing better than playing with Grandpa!

Day Trip

Last week Ron had Friday off so we decided to take a day trip to the Tonto Natural Bridge and go for a family hike. When we left Mesa around 1pm it was a blistering 105 degrees. YUCK! When we got to the Park (about an hour's drive) it was a beautiful, breezy 67 degrees!
At the start of our hike
we encountered a VERY strange site...
Can you see what Mason is looking at on the tree?...
YEP! It's a BAT! Crazy huh? And kinda cute!
The hike is only about 1/2 mile but part of the hike is pretty steep. Mason actually did pretty good. Although, I did have to carry him part of the way just because I'm paranoid and didn't want him sliding off the mountain.
Mason really enjoyed climbing and exploring on the slippery rocks. Noah didn't mind getting his feet wet either.
Overall, we had a very fun day!

Swiming Lessons

I've been working really hard with Mason for the past month teaching him how to swim.
The best part, (which you can't really see in the video) is his face. When he comes up for air or to float, he has the BIGGEST smile on his face. He's so proud of himself and rightly so. I love it!

He still has a long way to go, right now his swiming is more like treading water. But it's fun for me to work with him and watch him improve.

Camping!

Wow! We've been having yucky computer problems so... I haven't been able to post. Here goes!
The month of June can pretty much be summed up in 2 words... Camping and Swimming!
Here's some pictures from our camping trips.
I love how his face just says it all! He's definately enjoying the moment!
Thanks mom for capturing this picture!
I think this is the ONLY picture with all 4 of us in it! :) Getting us all out on this log was little tricky. You can't really see but it's a tree that fell accross the creek!Lunch time!
Mason and some of his cousins hanging out in Grandpa's hammock! I don't think they quite exceeded the maximum weight but probably the maximum fun limit!
Noah trying to escape one morning.
He almost got away too!
Mason LOVES throwing rocks into the creek!
(Ok he just loves to throw things in general!)
Look closely! You can see the big rock mid-air.
Hanging out with his buddy Colter! I am amazed that there are still rocks left, after the number of hours spent throwing them in the water! Seriously.
One of the many trips back from the creek, Ron took Mason's pants off in an effort to keep him fairly dry.
My favorite part of the picture is Ron's pants!

Hiking
We found Mason in the storage area in back of my Dad's Tent Trailer. What a goof! I don't know how he got in there! Tight Squeeze.

SNOW in AZ...in June?!?!?!

Last weekend on our way home from camping in the White Mountains we found a couple patches of snow. We decided to stop and play in it. (Keep in mind we had just been camping for 3 days... we look pretty scary! :)
This is what Mason does when Mommy tries to play with him in the snow...
(He's clinging to me saying "It's cold! It's cold!")
But when Ron showed him how to throw snowballs at Mommy, he couldn't get enough!!
Look at that arm!
Ronnie and Mason sliding down the hill, Mason wanted to do it over, and over, and over again!
Noah, unfortunately was asleep in the car the whole time.

Who knew cartwheels could be so funny?

Noah's cousin Parker came over to play yesterday. As you can see in the video Noah just ADORES his cousin.

(Not sure if he's laughing AT Parker or WITH him... I am sure he's laughing with him! Parker is so dang cute with Noah!)
