Vegas is definitely it's own little world! I really enjoyed seeing all the bright lights, architecture (there are some AMAZING buildings), and "interesting" people. Ha! It really is the city that never sleeps. One of my favorite "attractions" was the fountains at the Bellagio. In front of their hotel every 15 mins. or so they have a show of water, and lights choreographed to music.
We spent most of our time EATING, walking around looking at the sites, and eating some more. I'm shocked that my pregnant feet survived!
I even convinced Ron into taking me to see the musical The Lion King! I enjoyed it, (but I definitely like Phantom better!) Ron tolerated it... his main comment was, "That was a little too much singing for me." ha! What does he think a "musical" is? Oh-well I'm glad he went with me!
As fun as it was to spend time with Ron and just relax, we couldn't stop thinking of the boys. There were plenty of times when we'd say "Oh! Mason would love to see this!" or "Wouldn't Noah just go nuts over that guy in the Ironman suit!" I had lots of fun in this crazy busy city but... can honestly say I don't want to live there. I'm totally a city girl but... I think Las Vegas is a little too much city for me! ;)

What a great get-a-way!!! It's sounds like you two had a lot of fun. I always think about my kids when I'm away too.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a good time!! I do the same thing...I can't wait to go out alone with Curtis somewhere and then 5 minutes later, I'm telling him that I miss the boys!!
ReplyDeleteYour hair is way cute btw!!
Sounds like you guys had fun! That's cool you got to have a little getaway before the baby comes.
ReplyDeleteFun trip!! Wish we could have seen you guys! But, I'm with ya, I don't want to live here either. hahaha. I keep telling Chris we need to move to Mesa! Maybe someday when this whole Bishoping thing is done, we will get out of here!
ReplyDeleteBTW...I bought my advent from Pottery Barn a few years back and I will post the list of our activities on the blog--I've had several people ask:)
What a fun treat! I love the first picture of you and Ron! Glad you were able to get away!
ReplyDeleteI love Vegas! Glad you guys had fun, you deserve it.
ReplyDeleteBeen to Las Vegas a few times but the funniest is when we saw the pirate show on the strip. My mom told us it was cool and great for kids. We got their early and Ash took Lila to the front while I stayed in the back with the babies and stuff. After 5 min. we knew it was not for kids but the crowd was to big to find Lila and get out. Later we found out their was two shows and we miss the earlier (KID FRIENDLY) show. We laugh about it now but I was worried what little sweet Lila would tell Daddy when we got home.(haha) Love your sweet boys getting ready for Christmas too.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome romantic getaway! It sounds like you guys had a ton of fun. Your hair is SO cute Shelly! You look gorgeous!
