I LOVE Mother's Day and over the years it has really transformed. While I really miss the adorable questionnaires from my toddler's about what they think they know about me and the fun ceramic or paper creations. This year was really special and interesting all together. The bishop asked our whole family to participate at church. Ron, myself, Mason and Noah all gave talks in Sacrament meeting. Callie and April sang with the primary. It was a lovely meeting. Both my boys surprisingly doted on me (not something I'm used to at all but thoroughly enjoyed).
Mason spoke about how grateful he was for me taking him to MAC swim team and when I would bring him dinner between MAC and water polo. He spoke about how he appreciated me making the sacrifice of letting him eat gluten in our home even tho all the girls in the house have celiac.
Noah spoke about how I’m not perfect but I’m perfect for him. He told a story about how I defended him at a waterpolo game when he was badly mistreated. He surprised me with his whit and ease up on the stand. Poor kid spoke last year on Mother's Day also. Haha
There’s one thing I want my kids to know besides the obvious that they are children of Heavenly and earthly loving parents, I want them to know I will go to bat for them. I have their backs. (Even when that means I have to yell at some water polo officials in defense of my children.)
