I think this may have been the first time in a long time I was REALLY excited to go melt in a million degrees and watch a bunch of kids swimming. April absolutely loves swimming. She is so much fun to watch. She has her kicking down pretty good just needs to work on her breathing and arms a little. I love watching her eyes light up when they hand her the ribbon then she rushes to me to ask how she did . LOL She is just too cute. Callie did not want to participate in swim at all but she did fantastic! Callie, April and Noah are younger in their age bracket. So for them to place is a lot more difficult because they are going up against kids that are older than them. Callie placed 3rd (in the 2nd fastest heat) Noah got 7th in the fastest heat and April was 8th but close to the other swimmers. They try to line the kids up in order of ability. April got out of line when she was walking to the starting blocks so I think she was in the wrong heat. Either way I was proud of her for keeping up with the older girls. She was so nervous for the swim meet. Nervous and excited. But overall she did great and I'm really proud of her for trying something new.
